Few days ago I finished working on my little blue/purple paintings, scanned them and composed them into this simple experimental video inspired by color theory, a meditation on color of sorts. I loved working on this and it was a good warm up for working on more experimental animated videos in future.
Minimalism has never really been my thing, if anything I'd label myself a maximalist, lover of complex, detailed arrangements and patterns always aching to add yet another layer, yet another shape, yet another coat of ink to my work until it all feels just a little oh, too much and even then I feel inclined to keep adding more and more and more. Too much is never enough.
But last week I started to year for something light, simple and airy, I just wanted to make easy drawings with minimum effort just for fun and pleasure of creating. So I made these simple grid patterns over old textures and I also drew some birds because I love birds :)
